​This world renowned hill is an interesting and amusing must see sight! The idea: drive your vehicle to the bottom of the hill, place it in "Neutral" and watch as it rolls up hill! You can also place a leaf in the water on the side of the road and watch as it floats uphill. Is it an illusion, magnetic or just completely defying natural? A visit is a must in order to solve the mystery.

​MONCTON FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITY #2: CENTENNIAL PARK AND TREE GO

Tired of the busy noisy city life and looking for an escape? No need to leave Moncton, with this great 230 acres park located right in Moncton! It provides a perfect escape from the cars and noise, into nature's lush green dreamland. Plus, there's no admission fee to the park! 
During summertime, this park boasts a splendid wheelchair-accessible playground, a Super Splash park, along with a pool made out to into a beach. There are kilometers on end of walking trails in the woods, and facilities for sports such as a sports field, lawn bowling and tennis courts.  

For a fee, you can even experience the exhilaration of an obstacle course up in the tress combined with zip lines at TreeGO. This aerial adventure challenge offers a children's course as well as one for youth and adults.   

(Keep this great destination in mind for wintertime as well! Optional activities at that time of the year include skating on the oval, going sledding and enjoying the kilometers of perfect cross country ski trails through the snowy woods. )

MONCTON FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITY #3: UPICKS ​

Looking for a relaxing outdoors activity with delicious healthy snack? How about driving to one of the U-Picks located along the edges of the city! There are fields for blueberries, strawberries and raspberries during the summer months, and multiple apple orchards and pumpkin u-picks during the fall. Just call ahead of time to make sure that the fruits you seek are in season , ready to be picked and that the u-pick is open! Regardless of the season, make sure to dress according to the temperature and don't forget to bring energetic happiness along with containers to collect your berries with so you'll have delicious healthy snacks for later!

Some locals' favorite places include Scoudouc Farm, Les Petits Fruits de Pre d'en Haut and Belliveau Orchards. Remember to check prices as they can vary!  ​

​​MONCTON FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITY #4: TIDAL BORE

This natural phenomenon occurs twice daily, and is a much beloved attraction in the city. You can opt to have a seat along the downtown area or enjoy the riverfront walking and cycling trails to watch the wave, measuring up to 60cm in height, make it’s way upstream on the Petitcodiac River. Make sure to be 20 minutes early as the estimated times can be impacted by various factors. ​

​​MONCTON FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITY #5: MAGIC MOUNTAIN

Located next to Magnetic Hill is the biggest waterpark of the Maritimes! From the Wave pool to the Lazy River or the Splashpad, there are water attractions to suit different guests needs. After all, we are not all thrill seekers wanting to go down to Kamikaze! Also available here are an 18 hole mini putt and an arcade (both cost extra).

MONCTON FAMILY FRIENDLY ACTIVITY #6: MAGNETIC HILL ZOO

Also located next to Magnetic Hill and Magic Mountain, this is the largest zoo in Atlantic Canada and said to be the 4th best zoo in Canada. With its 40 acre park, it is home to over 600 animals from across the world. The zoo aims to provide education to the residents of the area and tourists, participates in research and  ensures the well being of the animals. It also offers various creative events, such as Boo at the Zoo! Which is a wonderful Halloween themed event loved by guests of all ages. It also offers a diversity of day camps fit to meet the needs of children of different ages and needs.

Between the various parks, such as Elmwood Park and Rotary Park, and the waterfront walking and biking trail leading you along the Petitcodiac River, there’s bound to be a trail that peaks your interest!

Thanks for stopping by our website. The umbrellas photo was taken last year at Place 1640 next to the public library in Dieppe. Such a cool backdrop, it brightens up the rainy days!
