Cars Regardless if you're walking around in Havana or taking a taxi to explore Varadero's surroundings, one thing is for sure; you just might feel like as if you're in a 50's movie! There are still today a multitude of cars from the 1950's on the streets in this country, so if you have to take a taxi (or decide to take one with the sole purpose of taking in the experience) make sure to try out one of these beautiful cars! Locals Almost all the Cuban people I've met through my multiple vacations in this beautiful country seemed genuinely happy, friendly and delighted to be helpful. Whether it's staff at the resort or locals that I met on the streets during long walks, they always had a smile on their face and loved to have long chats about everything and nothing! Salsa If you happen to enjoy dancing, then you'll certainly enjoy the Cuban salsa! Most resorts seem to offer free classes, but there are also dance studios that can be found (in Varadero, for example) where you can pay for a class (or more) and learn the steps to the dance. At night, various nightclubs and resorts host dances and you can dance your heart out all night! And so much more!! In case that's not enough, the historical sites situated within Cuba are remarkable, and the food (in my experience) has significantly improved over the last 10 years to become delicious! Additionally, this country boasts many all inclusive resorts with many more being built recently (in preparation for the crowds to come), which can make for a quick budget friendly vacation if the right deals are found! Traveling to an all-inclusive with someone who has allergies? Make sure to review these 6 steps to take when traveling with food allergies. We realize there are many fascinating destinations out there for winter travels to consider! However, Cuba is certainly worth recognizing as a worthwhile option for your next trip. Did these 7 reasons why you should go to Cuba now convince you? Let us know!

I can honestly say that of all the times I have gone, I have never felt unsafe (regardless if I was exploring in a group or alone). Of course, "common sense" applies here just as it would anywhere else in the world, but I felt completely safe traveling in this country alone! :)

We wanted to go to Cuba a year or two ago but we got a better flight deal to Mexico that time. Would still like to visit! Hopefully the locals don´t get too tired of tourism by that time.
